Like Butta!

My husband was gone most of the evening so Max and I did a little experiment.

We took some heavy cream and a little salt and threw it in the kitchenaid.  It was a little bit of science that had a sweet and creamy outcome.  Max didn't want it to go past the whipped cream stage but the added salt made it NOT WHIPPED CREAM so the experiment continued.

All told it took about 20 minutes to turn our cream into a tasty butter that made even ordinary bread taste fabulous.  Just whip the cream till it starts to separate into the butter and the buttermilk.  Once this happens, put the solids into a tea towel and squeeze out  as much liquid as you can.  Now you have buttermilk to make tasty biscuits or pancakes and butter to put on them.

I love science!
