Every year for many years we have planted a few different plants that just never willingly give up their goodness but this year we had a small victory.
In our garden we always plant peas, corn and watermelon and they just never yield anything. I am bound and determined to get these fruit and veggies to grow and this year we had a small but major success. We actually got a watermelon to grow! It was a small melon but it was really sweet. Was it worth all of the work to water, grow and protect it? Maybe, maybe not but it was certainly one of the best watermelons I have ever eaten. We really loved our melon and just in case you doubt how much love we had for our melon...
