I have been cooking, baking, celebrating and having a grand old time over the last week or so. Wanna see?
OK!
First, I had some sweet potatoes and the kale trees in the garden are still going strong so I thought..."I bet kale and sweet potatoes would be good." I made a hash and it was really good. As you may or may not be able to see, I cut the potatoes really small and it made for a great bite, each and every time. Here is the recipe I used, with my own little tweeks to it. I added red pepper flakes and just a touch of nutmeg.

My next adventure was a Japanese Cotton Soft Cheesecake and I will tell you that it is a labor of love. It does require some work and architectural skill. This is the contraption that I had to create to cook this cake. All I can say about this is that it worked!
This cheesecake is really cheesecakey with a totally foreign texture from what I am use to but good gosh it was good. It is really puffy, as the name suggests and very light as cheesecakes go.
I had some fresh frozen strawberries that Max and I picked a year or so ago, so I made a strawberry sauce with the last bag of those and kept them a little on the tart side which went well with the cake.
