I knew that the frozen pie dough would come in handy. I used it to make a couple of pot pies with some leftover rotisserie chicken I had. Carrots, onions, olive oil, but wait I don't have any peas! I did have edemame (soy beans) though so I threw those in instead. Milk, chicken stock, thyme, sage, salt, pepper and cornstarch finished out the guts of the pot pie. The pie dough was cut to be larger than the bowls I was using and I brushed them with egg yolk to give them that golden brown color.
Max, my 6 year old, won't eat a pot pie so I used a new gadget that I got to make him a homemade pizza pocket.
This mold made it all very easy and Max loved the end product. The mold was easy to use and cleaned up quickly. I will use this a lot and will have to whip up a few little sweet pies for fun. If you are looking for a simple little gadget that it is a very reasonable price this just might do it. Just so you know, I purchased the pie mold on my own and have not been compensated for this review. The Petite Pie Mold people would be hard pressed to identify me in a line up.
