In the harsh light of day I am thankful.
I am thankful that I have a home and a job and a fabulous husband and son.
I am thankful that the puppy is not as bitey as he was last week.
I am thankful that the pumpkins were not so rotten that they turned to mush when we decided to carry them to the compost pile.
I am thankful that humor exists.
I am thankful that there is always hope for the future.
I am thankful that dry skin, for the most part, has a quick and easy remedy.
I am thankful that the internet can occasionally make your life easier.
I am thankful that there are people who do for others, just because.
I am thankful that people are people no matter how small.
I am thankful that variety is the spice of life.
I am thankful that I only have to work 5 days out of the week.
I am thankful that I can dye my hair purple if I want to.
I am thankful that my fridge has nothing too alive in it.
I am thankful that the puppy is getting bigger and his bladder can wait.
I am thankful that the big ball that I sit on at work hasn’t burst.
I am thankful for the little butt massaging nubs on the ball that I sit on at work.
I am thankful for smiles from a stranger.
I am thankful that stain treatments work on Max’s clothes.
I am thankful that the mice are staying where I can’t see or hear them.
I am thankful that I have a few shoes that the puppy hasn’t chewed.
I am thankful that much of my family lives fairly close by.
I am thankful that there is another chance to make things right.
I am thankful that no matter where you go, there you are.
I am thankful that Max loves reading, even if he won’t go to sleep at night.
I am thankful for Uncle Shelby’s ABZ book.
I am thankful that parents have the ability to help when we need it.
I am thankful that pumice stones can make my feet softer.
I am thankful that neti pots work and really can’t drown you.
I am thankful for all the shades of blue.
I am thankful that people actually read this blog.
I am thankful that some of the people who read this blog leave comments for me so I can do my happy dance.
I am thankful that Thanksgiving came and went and I still have turkey.

I am thankful for the time that races by and every grey hair that I display on my head.
